Would you like to have your feelings "frozen in time" so to speak when the gates close tomorrow night? If you do, please go into all your Guest Rooms and add "Long Live VMK", or the like, to the beginning of all your Room Names and if you want to go another steop further the Room Descriptions.
The room names will be frozen in some Guest Room database and who knows, the DIG might do market research on their other worlds (i.e. see which rooms were popular, trends, themes etc.) and lookie what they will find...little nuggets of our effort to Save VMK...frozen in time. A Virtual Time Capsule.
This also goes for changing your signature before the final close. (sniff).
If anyone has ideas on top of the above, please chime in!!!
And post here when you have completed your time capsule, to keep this guy bumped up and in plain view!!!
This project will continue to the bitter end folks! woot! (sniff on the woot...)

i added save vmk to my room description

This evening I sent the following to Yavn, after seeing the ad on the VMK homepage, first talking about his 11th bday getting a "25th anniversary" Disney book, then telling folks they can get unlimited access to the "pay to play" games for 30 days to current VMK members:
Yavn,
So, you were 11 at the 25th anniversary, eh? Well, I was one year old when I was taken in a stroller, in 1957. My spouse, ML, was there in a stroller the first week. Both of us liked VMK, since it was so much like being at Disneyland (with the exception of your "mind police", which only became a nuisance when I would be speaking to a mother of 2, OLD, and we'd talk about what we did at Disneyland last weekend!)
Flying Saucers? Did that. Remember it BARELY. House Of The Future? Don't remember it, but know I went, and ALWAYS show friends from out of town (like Monday!) the cement chunks that remain from it, in front of the Ariel meet-and-greet. America Sings? Kinda miss that, not entirely! (I'm a rock/roll snob.) But I appreciate the approach! And knowing the 2 hosts are in Star Tours makes it special. And I will NEVER EVER FORGET Inner Space, OMG. It was SO boring at the end, so few folks on it, I just didn't appreciate it as much in my teens as I do now.
And now, at 51, I go all the time to Disneyland. Used to be twice a year. Now alot. Went to all 4 weekends of DCA's Food and Wine! (Wow, a VMK DCA park would've been nice. Too bad Disney won't let someone keep VMK going.)
But to replace an entire Disneyland with singular attraction-based games, that cost money? And can be "disconnected" just as easily as this "dream world" (IMHO)? Sorry, NO. This was the FIRST and ONLY time I ever went online on a computer world environment, and I've been "doing" computers since 1975!
So RE unlimited access: No thanks.

I hope somewhere in a company meeting someone looks at what VMK meant to all of us players and brings it back. Disney could and would make it happen if they only looked at the reality of the potential of marketing Disney on the virtual circuit like thaey always have. Bring back VMK Disney Online you who are in power and understand the importance of what a special place it was in the hearts of many.

VMK was a miniture world based of of the Disney Parks. I personaly go on VMK b/c my parents do no have enough money to for all 4 of my family members to revisit Disney World. So VMK reminds me of my visit and maybe to many other vmkers as well. I you type in VMK on (mostly) youtube MANY of sad VMKers have made videos explaining how much they want to reconnect with others. When many of kids come back from school or outside or when it is in the winter they go on VMK to connect with thier personal friends and meet new friends. Vmkers had fun playing games, talking to people aross the contient and the life like details on the furnish.,places, and people. Please many VMKers have started protests and saying they are willing to "pay to play". Finally there is another website simalar to yours called "Virtual Family Kingdom" this website may look like VMK but IS NOT VMK! PLEASE all we VMKers are asking is to reopen please! AdventureMekayla
