KISSIMMEE -- Parents across America said they're planning to boycott Disney because one of the company's Web sites is shutting down.
Disney's Virtual Magic Kingdom, an interactive game, simulates the real theme park. Users can play in the virtual park and meet other Disney fans for free.
In the middle of May, Disney plans to shut down the 3-year-old Web site because they only set it up as a promotional tool.
"We were quite surprised. That wasn't the way they promoted it from the beginning. There were so many things to buy. They were promoting it instead of VMK being used to promote other things," said Shelly Amato, a mom..."

"Hundreds of people showed up to the first Save VMK Walk today. Over 15-20 groups were formed and sent out all over VMK. I was so busy typing I wasn't able to see how the room was ranking on the guest list, but I did get a PM from someone on DisBoards that said they couldn't get in b/c the queue was 55+! I had someone volunteer to create an overflow room too, but that wasn't even enough...that ended up having a long queue too!
I tried to see if someone had screengrabs of video, I don't think anything turned up. I just thought of video, but I should have taken a few screenshots. It was non-stop busy for almost 2 1/2 hours and then I had to close up shop..."
